How Apple Hooks Kids Onto Its Devices

Apple has dominated the world of personal tech due in large part to its education program. These days, it’s using its textbook app to get kids to use its mobile devices early on. A history class in Belgium recently started using Apple textbooks, created by the class’s teacher. The teacher, Gwen Vergouwen, used multimedia from Europe’s digital cultural archive, Europeana, to bring information about World War I to life. Vergouwen and Europeana were able to work together as part of Apple’s greater educational program framework.

The Art Beat

The NY Times Art Beat is really good!  I was sure of this this morning when I read everything they had written about museums.  Now, even Nylon magazine has validated my opinion!  It’s good to see that some media outlets that have capitulated on online media are still holding up to its readers’ fickle quality standards.
